Atheros AREG disappears Windows 7 Build Alright long story short, my Atheros adaptor disappears completely from my system periodically and I don’t know what is up.
I tried some trusted downloading sites such as CNET etc but they only lead to out of date drivers that didn’t help. To exclude Verizon Router, I tried the old Linksys wireless router, the Dell connects to it no problem, but the Toshiba does not even see it.
My laptop now connects to the internet with no problem. My problem was that I was showing as being connected to the network but not to the internet.

I am running ar5007fg I know it is a lot of work I finally managed to get the atheros. Ok, here was my fix: Computer powers off in sleep mode I downloaded a “new” driver from HP-it turns out that it was the original with the problem.
